LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

JOB DESCRIPTION

Grade 12.

Valid driver’s license / own reliable vehicle.

Chemical Technician’s Diploma.

Competent computer skills (Email / MS Office).

Working knowledge of GMP and HACCP quality systems an advantage.

5yrs+ previous working experience in a similar position (feed milling or similar environment).

Person will be responsible for the operations of the laboratory on a daily basis and make limited decisions to ensure the continuity of productions. Prepares test samples of materials in production and conducts prescribed physical and chemical tests on samples.

Testing and administering of raw material and finished product samples.

Recording and administering of results.

Maintaining housekeeping.
